He moved to the North West later that year and over the next 20 years gained valuable experience at various managerial levels in industry and commerce.

In March 1986 he decided on a complete career change and started his own accountancy practice. In 1993 he joined forces with David Lucas.

Andrew concentrates the majority of his time on family owned SMEs local to the Hesketh Bank office and also has a small portfolio of clients in London.

David has lived in the Southport area for over 25 years. He qualified in 1976 and has extensive experience in both practice and industry.

He and Andrew merged their respective practices in 1993 to form the then Andrew Turpin & Co partnership. Davids areas of expertise include:

• Preparation and Audit of Charity accounts
• Preparation of accounts of SMEs
• Business acquisitions, disposals and exit routes
• Company formations and business strategy

Chris Lees
Partner

Chris gained an Economics degree at Manchester in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1997 at Haworth Moore in Blackpool. He joined TLL Accountants in late 1997 and was appointed Audit Partner in 2001 and, additionally, Training Partner in 2003.

Chris manages a portfolio of predominantly small/medium sized owner managed businesses and specializes in business start-ups; solicitors accounts rules and charities.

Working alongside our grant consultant Roger Wood FCA they have together assisted a number of clients to obtain grant funding through Business Link and GME. Chris and Roger are both Business Link Approved Consultants.

Chris attends the monthly “First Friday Club” networking events.

Joe Stanley
Associate

Joe Stanley joined the Firm in February 2004 to head up our Tax Department, having worked in the past in senior tax roles at Thornton Baker, Deloittes and Forshaws. He brings to the Firm some thirty six years of tax experience.

Peter Buck
Associate
Qualifications: FCCA

Peter joined the practice after gaining 5 years valuable experience with a “Big 4” practice, and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1996 – training at a local independent firm.

He has vast experience of working with Owner Managed businesses as well as larger public companies, in a wide range of industries. Over the past 12 years, which includes working in industry, Peter has also achieved a recognised expertise in the Charity sector.

As an associate in our Audit and Accounts department Peter is primarily involved with Limited companies, in addition to our large portfolio of charities. His varied experience has given him a sound commercial insight into business, which compliments well his careful attention to client needs.

Peter was recently awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting, being one of the first 50 in the Country to receive this new Qualification.

David Ashton
Manager
Qualifications: FCA

David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1970 with a large international firm.

For the past 32 years he has specialised in general practice with the emphasis on owner managed, corporate and non-corporate clients accountancy affairs, taxation and business related advice.

Daljinder Singh
Associate
Qualifications: FCCA

Daljinder joined the practice in 1997 where he qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2001. He was appointed an Associate in 2005.

Drawing upon a broad spectrum of skills and experience he has provided accounting, auditing and both personal and corporate tax services to a variety of both incorporated and unincorporated businesses within various industry sectors.

He also manages the audits of several small not-for-profit organisations.

Since 2004 Daljinder has been a panel member of The Lancashire & Cumbria Member’s Network of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants where he has also occupied the position of Assistant Career Officer.

Jenny Yildirim
Associate
Qualifications: ACCA

Jenny gained a 2:1 BA(hons) degree in Accounting & Business in 1997 and joined the practice in 2000 where she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2005.

A key point of contact for many clients Jenny manages a portfolio of small/medium sized businesses and is also responsible for staff training and development to assist in the maintenance of the company's high professional standards.
